Oh, hello! Are you here to join our army here at toran_castle? Wonderful! We could definitely use all of the help that we can get. My name is Estellise, and I hope you don't mind if I ask you a few questions and brief you in on what to expect here in the Castle.

Before we begin, though, here are a few things I have been asked to remind you of.

Please view the Guidelines and FAQ.

Please remember The Prime Directive. The Prime Directive is: Be excellent to each other.

Also, your player must be at least 18 years old.

And finally, the following types of characters are not allowed:
*Original characters
*Alternative Universe characters
*Real life people, unless they are historical figures in a highly fictionalized context
*Duplicates of characters currently in play
*Characters who appear solely in a webcomic

Now that that's taken care of, do you have any preliminary questions for me? I'll do my best to answer whatever you ask of me.

Estelle had met a great many people during her time here, especially during the recruiter duties. The man who was before her now was the type of person she didn't come across too terribly often; still, despite the instant accusation, Estelle faced the man with a pleasant smile and a polite bow.

"I'm afraid not," she said in response to his question. She gestured to the empty seat in front of her, indicating that he was free to sit down if he so chose to. As for her, she was going to sit.

"The castle is the one you're looking to blame. I was brought here in the same way you were. Many of us were."

The brief introduction and gesture for him to sit was welcomed as he'd do so only to attempt to get comfortable and fail, miserably. Narrowing his eyes, he'd glance in her direction only to further investigate.

"I have been in my fair share of castles. Few appear as..different..as this one."

It was the closest she'd get to an amiable agreement. Even then, Kazama relaxed his stance and appeared more approachable, at least for the moment.

"Kazama. Chikage Kazama."

The sigh came afterwords. This was some sort of recruitment after all. Why delay the inevitable?

"...How long have you been here?"

This would come as a surprise to anyone who knew him. The interest was not there in her, per say, but the castle itself. How else to gather information than to ask the closest thing to a source?

"Not as long as you might think," Was Estelle's first response. Considering her status as a recruiter for the castle now, one would think she was among those who had been here for a long time ... she would be honest, though.

"Only a few months," she added, as an elaboration. That didn't necessarily mean that she didn't know much about the castle, though she definitely wished she knew more. Beneath the sweet smile and the polite, curious demeanor, there was an extremely booksmart young lady.

"It's very nice to meet you, Kazama. I know this situation isn't the most ideal, but we unfortunately don't have any control over returning to our homes. The best we can do is prepare you, and give you a little bit of insight into what to expect in this place; that's why I'm here talking to you now."

This was to be expected. Dragged into another mess, but not by debts or honor though. This amused him and piqued his interest without much effort on Estelle's part.

"Hrmph. So be it."

The rather gruff voice said much more in tone than anything else at this moment in time while he'd stand and turn to the side from the table. It was..most uncomfortable for someone of his height.

"I assume there are others?"

Not to doubt her, but the grandiose welcome of a single entity was less than appealing. He had made his decision to stay, but felt that there would be a bit more probing to be done.

His expression would soften as she appeared to be respectable to him without knowledge of his existence. It wasn't..kind..by any means, but still approachable as a known drunk in his sober day job.

Estelle nodded again in response to that question.

"Yes, many others. The Castle has pulled in a large number of people from across different places, and still continues to do so. In some way, all of us contribute to the army, even if some of us have no experience in battle."

She figured she could be vague on just how different these 'places' were from the home that he knew. It really went beyond that; the concept of different worlds was something that she found difficult to really explain to a lot of people, though it wasn't a bother in the least to try explaining it if anyone absolutely wanted to know.

Her eyes settled on him from her seat, wondering in the back of her mind why he stood so suddenly ... he was certainly an intriguing person, for sure. And he seemed to be accustomed to the idea of battle, as he hadn't said anything otherwise and seemed to merely accept the task that lay before him without much thought.

As she finished her sentence, he'd sigh and attempt to sit back down, but in a less graceful manner. The chair was dragged slightly, making a screech across the floor as he sat with his knees bent, much like how a gambler would do attempting to roll the tables.

The woes of being regretfully tall. There was no point in denying that she had his interest in the situation, but he needed to think it over. Many others would cause problems, even a liability if they were to get in his way.

As he'd reach into his nagajuban slowly, he appeared to be in his own little world. Producing a small cylinder that resembled a slender clay pot, he'd set it down and look back to Estelle.

It wasn't that he didn't care to just sit and discuss, it was the fact he was taller and the standard sized tables were annoying. The lid was pulled away from the cylinder and the contents poured into a small saucer that was used as said lid.

"I expect supplies will be abundant?"

Supplies was such a..general word. This could be taken in many ways, especially after producing a rather pungent rice based drink that is often used to seal agreements.

The contents were pushed to Estelle in offering as he stared to the side, considering the alternatives..which..were none really.

Estelle couldn't deny that the was a little confused at the sudden offering ... but she didn't want to be rude. More than that, she was curious about it. So, she nodded in response.

"Under normal circumstances, the castle will provide all of the supplies that we need for ... well, anything."

That was all he needed. Accepting her generosity with a curt nod, he'd stand only to pick up the bottle and take a firm swig himself. Naturally, this was to seal the deal, but he understood not everyone actually accepted this kind of behavior.

"So be it. You have the will of the Demons at your disposal."

It mattered little to him, but for the time being he was satisfied with the responses. She had passed his test, though most would have considered it to be the other way around.

Kazama quickly smirked in slight approval showing the first sign of a positive demeanor since his arrival.

"You have done well in securing others. Not many could claim such a feat. I expect more of the same in the future, Estellise."

There was a brief moment where his eyes met her own in a rather approving manner. Something he rarely did.

Estelle smiled brightly at the approval, giggling a little as he praised her.

"Thank you very much for the compliment, Kazama. I'm sure you'll get along perfectly fine here in the castle, and I look forward to getting to know you a little more."

He was definitely an interesting person, and Estelle was looking forward to knowing more about him.
